PennEast is committed to working closely with first response agencies. These brave men and women are an integral part of PennEast’s commitment to safe operations. The member companies of PennEast have a strong history of working with local first response agencies, and this effective working relationship has continued since the formation of PennEast Pipeline Company.

PennEast will train and coordinate with first response agencies along the Project route, starting with communicating construction plans and expanding into training and coordination during ongoing operations.

And through PennEast’s Community Connector Grant Program, PennEast has provided $325,000 through April 2016 for community initiatives along the proposed route — many of these grants have gone to first response agencies.

Examples of projects supported include:

  • Air Pack Replacements
  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • New Fire Hose
  • Gas Monitors
  • and much more!

PennEast is proud to continue its support for emergency response agencies. PennEast encourages all qualified organizations to submit applications to the Community Connector Grant Program. All applications will be considered for the next round of distribution, which will occur in August 2016.
